One small action today could prevent years of regret—will you take it? For Ganesh, it was everything.
The Heartbreaking Truth of Ignoring A Child’s Autism in an Indian School
A few months ago, worried parents from Mumbai called us.
They were upset about their son, Ganesh, who had just started first grade.
Every day, Ganesh’s teachers sent messages home about his behavior in class.
Ganesh’s parents used to feel happy and proud, but now they were always stressed and waiting for another complaint from school.
Ganesh couldn’t sit still in class, no matter how hard he tried.
He would wander around, touch his friends’ things, poke their arms, and talk out of turn.
His teachers were frustrated, his classmates were annoyed, and other parents began to complain.
The principal even said that if things didn’t get better, Ganesh might be suspended.
Ganesh’s parents had tried everything.
They gave him rewards for good behavior, punished him when he misbehaved, and even took him to priests for special blessings.
But nothing worked 💔.
They didn’t know Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) was the real culprit.
His mother, almost in tears, told me how much she wished she could help him.
She loved Ganesh deeply but didn’t know what else to do.
When they called me, I knew from experience that Ganesh didn’t need more rules or punishments.
He needed a different approach that fit the way his brain worked.
I spent a few days observing Ganesh and understanding what was hard for him.
Then, we created a special plan just for him.
The result?
It was amazing.
After using these “Strategies,” Ganesh’s teachers saw big changes in his behavior.
He could sit still longer, didn’t interrupt as much, and the class could go on without stopping for him.
At home, his parents saw a new hope—they didn’t feel so worried all the time.
Over time, we realized one thing for sure: normal parenting rules don’t work for kids with ASD.
Children with ASD see the world in a different way.
Their brains process information differently, which can make them feel overwhelmed, scared, or frustrated.
That’s why they sometimes have meltdowns or behave in ways that seem hard to understand.
So, we created a set of strategies called the “7 Day Calm ASD Blueprint.”
These steps are simple and help parents and kids like Ganesh manage ASD in a kinder way.
With these Strategies, you’ll learn to:
✅ Notice what makes your child feel overwhelmed so you can prevent or calm things before they go out of control.
✅ Help your child express big feelings in a safe way without causing stress at home or school.
✅ Motivate your child for school without making them sit with books for hours.
✅ Guide your child’s attention toward positive actions and listening to you.
✅ Handle tough situations with your child calmly and confidently.
Imagine finally feeling prepared to help your child and watching them become calmer, happier, and more focused.
These strategies can help you replace constant worry with peace and give your child the support they need to succeed at home and in school.
